Tuesday February 21st, 2012 16:31 Whitney Houston – Bidding Farewell to a Music Legend

The late great Michael Jackson has eerily sung these lines—“Gone too soon…” for the people who passed away too early. Not only were the lyrics applied to the King of Pop’s sudden demise, but also to one of his closest friends in the music industry—Whitney Houston. The world was devastated with the unexpected death of the talented singer and superstar.

According to reports, Houston was found lifeless in her room on the fourth floor of Beverley Hilton Hotel. The singer was 48 years old. Whitney died on the night of the Grammy Awards, the big occasion in the music world that she graced with her amazing talent. The unexpected tragic news led many Hollywood stars to share their feelings about Houston.

Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan, Dolly Parton, Aretha Franklin, Rihanna, Beyonce, Quincy Jones and many other famous celebrities paid tribute and reminisced their precious moments spent with the deceased star.

Whitney has become a legend because of her numerous awards and several albums that catapulted her on top of the music charts all around the world. She was the “golden girl” of the 1980s-1990s and was considered as one of the world’s best-selling artists. She was also successful in the silver screen but her life was tarnished with a rocky marriage to Bobby Brown and drug abuse that led to the damages in her voice.

Houston was buried on February 18 and is survived by her daughter Bobbi Christina. Though the hit songs of Whitney may not be as many as the available options for home alarm systems, she has successfully etched her name in the music industry and will forever be remembered as one of the best musical legends.

Wednesday January 11th, 2012 13:04 Great Tips for Aspiring Hollywood Celebrities: How To Achieve Your Hollywood Dream

Ever dream of becoming the next Angeline Jolie or Brad Pitt? Well, as they say, nothing is impossible. But successfully penetrating Hollywood is not as easy as one might think. In fact a lot of aspiring actors and actresses struggle even to get casted in small feature films. Though this may be the case, this should never discourage you. Remember patience is a virtue and if you really got the talent, soon enough, someone will take notice.

To help you realize your Hollywood dream, here are some tips that will allow you to get a share of the limelight.

Keep in mind that the entertainment industry is just like any other career. Be sure to apply the same level of professionalism like you would in any other types of career. This means you have to avoid being late, show respect, refrain from whining too much, and give a good impression. People who treat modelling, acting or singing with respect and see them as a career are likely to make it in Hollywood. Those who don’t, evidently, won’t even have a chance.

Make it a habit to answer phone calls at all times. Actors and models are practically like surgeons, they are usually on-call 24/7. In Hollywood, one missed call can mean a missed opportunity. Remember Hollywood won’t wait for you and film or casting directors will definitely not waste their time giving you another call. You are not the only option they have and there is a long list of people who will be more than happy to take your place. So, be sure to answer every phone call. Even while you are in the middle of inquiring for phlebotomy training schools, if it is possible to take the call do so. Who knows it might be the break you are waiting for.

Do not hang around negative people. One of the common reasons why many don’t succeed in Hollywood is because they let family or friends interfere with their hopes and dreams. If you are really serious about making it in Hollywood, it would be best to get rid of people who won’t do any good for your career. This may sound harsh but opportunity in Hollywood knocks only once so you have to make the most out of it. Good-for-nothing people are not really worth keeping, but of course, the choice is yours.
